Hazelnut oil is obtained by cold pressing the fruits of the tree. Native to Europe, it consists of unsaturated fatty acids with about 70% O9 oleic acid and 18% O6 linoleic acid. It also contains unsaponifiable material which consists of beta-sitosterol (which gives anti-inflammatory properties) and tocopherol (vitamin E) which offers high antioxidant activity.

Hazelnut oil offers nourishing and moisturizing benefits to the skin and hair. Restores the function of the lipid barrier and reduces skin moisture loss. Due to its tannin content, the oil provides astringent and tonic properties. Especially suitable for mature and dry skin, it increases the elasticity of the skin and the production of collagen, thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
